Notes:
The Spanish word 'Número' means 'Number'. Its abbreviation (No.) is 'Nº'Número 1:
We use either 'un' or 'uno', both are correct.
'Un' is used when followed by a noun (substantive). For example: 'Necesito un bolígrafo' ('I need a pen'), where 'bolígrafo' is the noun or substantive.
'Uno' is used when no noun is following it. For example: 'Necesito uno' ('I need one')
'Una' is used with feminine nouns. For example: 'Una bonita boda' ('A nice wedding').
The rest of numbers in this list have the same form for masculine and feminine, except 'veintiuno' (masculine) and veintiuna' (feminine).
Examples: 'Veintiún libros' ('Twenty one books') (masculine) - 'Veintiuna historias' ('Twenty one stories') (feminine).Numbers from 12 to 15 end in -ce.Numbers from 16 to 19 follow this structure: '10 and something'. That is, for example: 16 = diez y seis. When forming one word, the preposition 'y' becomes 'i' = dieciséis. Note there are two more changes: First, the final '-z' in diez becomes 'c' and second, '-séis' takes the accent on letter 'e'.Numbers from 21 to 29 are also following the same structure: 'veinte and something': veinte y uno --> veintiuno. Finally, accents. Note numbers 'dos', 'tres' and 'seis' don't have an accent. But when forming numbers 16, 22, 23 and 26, they take the accent.
